Phil
Phil moved into his own flat in
2008. He works in a supermarket and really enjoys his job. Phil has a large
circle of friends and a good social life. He loves going on holiday in the UK
and abroad, he has been to Lanzarote, Cornwall and Wales.
Phil had this to say: “I lived at home with my mum and dad until I was 34 years old, then I got my own flat. When I moved I had to learn new skills to help me live on my own. I love my flat and living on my own, I go to work 4 days a week and I go out with my friends and to clubs when I am off. We have a team of staff where I live and I look forward to seeing them. The staff are supporting me to lose weight at the moment, they help me with menu plans, shopping lists and healthy eating plans”.
“I love the support I get from Wirral Flexicare’s supported living service”.
“In the future I hope I can still work at Tesco’s, I would like to do some voluntary work as a carer and I want to carry on losing weight until I reach my goal, I have lost 22 ½ pounds so far”.
