June enjoys shopping and keeping up to date with fashion. Her hobbies are walking and music, she also enjoys bowling and bingo.
June had this to say: “I like to help around the home and go shopping with my mum who needs a wheelchair to get out and about. I am my mum’s main carer and help her to stay at home. I enjoy visiting different places, going to the S.O.D.A club and meeting new friends. I also like caring for my cats, goldfish and my budgie”.
“The staff who support me are great and have a good sense of humour which I love! I have given them all nicknames which I find funny. They have helped me to get on college courses and recently arranged a “reading buddy” to help me with my reading and writing. I have also started doing some voluntary work at Flexicare once a week to gain work experience. The staff have also helped me with health action training. I feel a lot more confident and I am happy”.
“In the future I want keep improving my reading and writing, I would like to do more voluntary work and I eventually want to live independently in my own home.
